Honda is the largest single-make platform in BC Racing's US catalog. Civic specifically is the highest-volume Honda fitment we ship. We happen to carry BC Racing fitments for nearly every Civic generation Honda has produced. From the EG chassis of the early '90s through the current FL Type R. Plus S2000, Accord, Integra, and the rest of Honda's enthusiast lineup.
Honda fitment coverage
Civic across EG, EK, EM2, EP3, FA, FG, FB, FK, and FL generations. That includes Si and Type R variants. S2000 in AP1 and AP2. Accord across CD, CG, CL, CM, CP, CR, and CV. Integra in DC chassis (the older Integra; the current Acura Integra has its own platform; see Acura BC Racing). CR-X, Del Sol, Prelude, CR-Z, and Fit fitments where applicable.
Which BC Racing series for Honda
The BR Series is the workhorse for Honda. Most Civic, Accord, and S2000 buyers should look at the BR first. Spring rate guidance:
- Older Civic (EG, EK): 6k/5k or 8k/6k street. Lightweight chassis runs softer rates
- EP3 Civic Si: 8k/6k typical
- FA/FG Civic Si: 10k/8k typical
- FK Civic Si and Type R: 10k/8k street, stepping up for track
- FL Civic Si and Type R: 10k/10k or 12k/10k typical
- S2000 (AP1, AP2): Varies. Serious track builds run high baseline rates
FK8 and FL5 Civic Type R buyers who track their cars regularly step up to the ER Series. The Type R was built for track use from the factory. The ER's dual-adjustable damping pairs naturally with how Honda built the car to be driven.
S2000 track builds, particularly AP2 chassis prepped for serious track rotation, often step up to the ER or the RM Series for competition use.
Honda-specific notes
K-series engine swaps are common on older Civic chassis. BC Racing's BR Series fitment range handles K20/K24-swapped chassis with the same kit options as stock-engine builds. Front camber plates are worth considering on any aggressive Honda setup. Honda chassis benefit from camber adjustment more than most platforms.
Civic Si and Type R fitments specifically have been seeing growing demand recently. The current generation of Honda performance cars has earned a serious track-day following. BC Racing fitments have been refined to match.
